Management Accountant

SUMMARY :

To support 2 UK General Managers and the Finance Director in the development of systems, procedures, financial controls and measures to support the Company in achieving its objectives and maximise revenue, minimise costs and increase profit margins.

The UK Group Financial Controller will manage and be accountable for the day-to-day management of the Finance Team as well as taking ownership for all financial information, reporting and compliance for the UK based sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Assists /produces financial statements including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentaries ;
• Assists in the production of the annual budget and periodic forecasting ;
• Provides management reporting for decision-making, including project appraisal, evaluation and post-implementation analysis ;
• Do ongoing review of cash flow and production of forecasts ;
• Assist in the production of annual statutory accounts in management accounts format Preparation of audit folders for each UK entity ;
• Manages Calculation, presentation and payment of VAT / Intrastat / EC Sales / National Stats etc. ;
• Reports & monitors on major projects, loans and grants ;
• Reports on capital expenditure against budget ;
• Carries out full job & project costings for all new and existing products Margin and profit analysis reporting ;
• Monitors & updates company assets and liabilities including balance sheet account reconciliations and review of intangible assets ;
• Intercompany reconciliations & revaluations Ensure compliance with all financial regulations ;
• Supervisor sales & pure, including day-to-day communication and motivation as well as succession planning and performance management ;
• Carry out continuous reviews of working accounting practices and processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.

REQUIRED PROFIL :

• HND degree ;
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Finance team (controller) ;
• Qualified Accountant or QBE ;
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Software Packages with strong Excel skills ;
• Excellent skills on an Accounting IT system ;
• Ability to manage, delegate, motivate, monitor and control team activity ;
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management
• Intellectual with a strong commercial acumen and sound business knowledge ;
• Experience within an engineering or manufacturing business (ASSET) ;
• Experience in leading managing and developing a Finance a Team (ASSET) ;
• English spoken and written compulsory.

WORK-LIFE :

• Flexi Working Hours 37.5 hours per week, breaks not included ;
• Monday to Thursday 9.30am to 3.30pm / Friday 9.30am to 3pm ;
• Remote work with Eddyfi Hybrid policies ;
