Pulsed Eddy Current Tank Floor Probe

Because better tank floor inspection insights has a nice ring to it

Eddyfi Technologies enables in-service screening of storage tank annular rings with a bespoke and super-thin titanium blade Pulsed Eddy Current (PEC) probe. Eddyfi Technologies' tank floor PEC probe is a powerful and innovative tool that allows you to inspect the tank floor of aboveground storage tanks (ASTs) quickly and accurately. Our probe uses advanced PEC technology to detect hidden corrosion, erosion, and other defects in the tank floor, allowing you to identify and mitigate potential safety risks before they become critical.

Features

  • Super-thin 4.8 mm (0.2 in) titanium blade
  • Scan wall thicknesses up to 25 mm (1 in)
  • Integrated remote controls (one-person operation)
  • Durable, permanent, built-in etched ruler
  • Unidirectional probe sensitivity
  • Side and front mounting points for external encoder

Details

This PEC probe was developed by Eddyfi Technologies for in-service screening of storage tank floor annular rings. Currently, no other inspection technique can do this without emptying the storage tank. With its super-thin 4.8 mm (0.2 in) titanium blade, the probe can slide up to 400 mm (16 in) under the tank floor edge and assess the remaining wall thickness of this critical region exposed to corrosion. Built-in remote controls and status LEDs were designed to enable one-person operation. The tank floor probe’s bottom surface is also magnetically shielded, maximizing sensitivity for optimal component analysis and protection against signal distortion from potential ferromagnetic structures. Our probe’s titanium blade withstands even the harshest tank terminal conditions.

If you are looking for a reliable, accurate, and efficient way to inspect the tank floor of your ASTs, Eddyfi's tank floor PEC probe is the ideal solution. With its advanced technology and user-friendly design, this probe allows you to perform quick and accurate inspections with minimal downtime and disruption.
